OUR ADMINISTRATORS

Kathi Froemming
Kathi Froemming is honored to serve as the Principal of Vandenberg Middle School. She is a long-time resident of the Lompoc Valley, and attended Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo for her undergraduate program. After obtaining her Master of Public Administration at Golden Gate University, she pursued her secondary teaching credential and administrative services credential at Chapman University.
Mrs. Froemming spent 15 years in the aerospace industry, and taught English at Cabrillo High School for 9 years before beginning her career in school administration.
Mrs. Froemming is very excited to be working in the community she loves.  Memories of first grade at Hapgood Elementary through graduation from Cabrillo High School anchor a deep affinity for the children and families of Lompoc.  Mrs. Froemming is a five time Boston Marathoner and enjoys running competitively in her spare time.  Mrs. Froemming lives in Lompoc with Neil Smoots and they have two children, Ryan and Meagan.

 Susan Salucci

I graduated from UCSB in 1986 and spent 6 years in hotel sales and marketing.  I received my teaching credential in 1992 and began my teaching career at Vandenberg Middle School (VMS).  I love VMS so much that I am beginning my fifteenth year here.  I have taught mostly eighth grade English, but I also have had the privilege of teaching 8th grade Honors English for the past 5 years.

Last year I pursued and obtained my M.A. and administrative credential from Cal Poly.  I begin this year in a new assignment of part-time dean and part-time ELD teacher.

I have been married to my husband, Philip, for 18 years and we have two boys, Philip Jr. and Jeffery.  We live a quiet and happy life in Orcutt.

Susan Rodriguez is delighted to join Team VMS as Dean as well as part-time teacher. A California native and UCSB graduate, Susan most recently worked with families home-schooling their children through Lompoc Unified’s Mission Valley School (aka Learning Center).Susan has earned a Master’s in Education, and holds credentials in adminstration, bilingual education, and multiple-subject education.
She has taught ESL in Madrid, 5th and 6th grade in East Los Angeles, Spanish in a  K-9 private school in Santa Barbara, and 4th grade-High School in LUSD.
Susan loves living in Lompoc with her two children in an interesting fixer-upper house. There are always projects to do, books to read, and friends and family to cook for! Salud y tiempo para disfrutarlo!
